Rio Hanabashi (花橋 梨緒 Hanabashi Rio), more commonly known as Rio (リオ), is a Japanese idol singer under JYP Entertainment. Rio was born on February 4, 2002 (age 23) in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan and ranked 4th in the Nizi Project. Rio then debuted in NiziU with her specialty being dance.

Life and Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Rio was a student at EXPG Nagoya (Exile Professional Gym). In 2016, she was selected to be part of the trainee group Bunnies (for E-girls) until the E-girls pyramid system was discontinued in 2017. Afterwards, she became a student at EXPG LAB. As part of EXPG Lab, she was introduced as a member of their dance and vocal unit "KIZZY" in December 2017.
In 2018, she appeared as a backup dancer for E-girls tour E-girls LIVE TOUR 2018 ~E.G. 11~ and in the music videos for the song "Y.M.C.A."from E-girls and GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE.
However, she left KIZZY and EXPG Lab altogether in March of 2019 to focus on her acting career.
